Responsibilities

I am a regional client services manager, a position I was promoted to in 2014 after Vela completed the acquisition of the Wombat business from NYSE Technologies. My team and I work to ensure that all of our clients’ needs are being met, which is a hugely rewarding job given the number of interesting and inspiring people we get to work with, both internally and externally. 

Daily Life

Our team primarily works to identify, troubleshoot and resolve any product related issues a client might have. As a manager, I also work to help each of our team members reach his or her fully potential, which is one of my favorite aspects of the job.

Working Environment

We’re fortunate to work in a fun and friendly working environment, which is key for us since the pressure can build at times when working to resolve a client issue. Senior management is also extremely supportive of all of us. Charles Schwab once famously said, “the way to develop the best that is in a person is by appreciation and encouragement." That very much sums up what I feel the general approach is here, and it’s what I consider as the most attractive aspect of a career at Vela.
